We live in a very busy world. Many people’s time is taken up with just making it through life, where time is at a premium. For the busy Christian, this can mean time to pray is a precious commodity. In addition, not everyone has the room to tuck a prayer book into their bag.
That is why we are introducing the Prayer Pack.
It is to give everyone in the St Marc’s community a resource to join together in prayer to the Lord. All I am asking is that a person spends at least 5 minutes every day in prayer. That’s all! 5 minutes minimum!
There are sufficient resources to do more if you wish, but if you only read the basic Morning Prayer Order or the Evening Prayer Order through from start to finish, it will take you 5 minutes. Making a regular time for your 5 minutes (with your first coffee in the morning for instance) if you can, makes this easier to plan for, but any spare 5 minutes, anytime will do.
Haven’t got five minutes in your busy day? Yes, you have! Give an honest answer to this question: How much time do you spend scrolling through your phone a day, reading or watching nothing in particular? Could you give up 5 minutes of this time?

Using the Prayer Pack has benefits! It will allow you to feel more in touch with the Lord and the Lord will have the devoted pleasure of your company for at least 5 minutes of a day.
